Pecan Street Festival

  • When: Saturday, May 6th - 7th 
  • Where: 6th Street between Brazos St. and IH35 
 
The Pecan Street Festival is one of the largest, and longest-running, arts, crafts, and music festivals in the nation. The Pecan Street Association supports the Austin community by presenting the annual festival and donating its proceeds towards the preservation of historic 6th Street located downtown.
 

Austin Art Walk

  • When: Saturday, May 6th, 9-11 AM
  • Where: Capital City Bakery, 2211 E. Cesar Chavez St
 
This amazing walk takes you on a tour of some of Austin’s best street art. Explore the authentic streets of East Austin and find great photo opportunities, art history, and an inside look at local living within the city. The tour is led by experienced tour guides who have a passion for the artists and their work.
 

New Grounds Grand Opening at the Blanton

 
The Blanton Museum of Art welcomes visitors to its newly renovated grounds with a celebration that will open the area to the public.  From 2–3 p.m., the opening celebration will feature live music, remarks by special guests, a participatory art experience designed by the Haas Brothers, and the activation of the primary outdoor gathering space, the Moody Patio. You won’t want to miss this debut!
 

Art-O-Rama-2023

  • When: Saturday, May 13, 1-4 PM
  • Where: Dougherty Arts Center, 1110 Barton Springs Rd
 
The Dougherty Arts Center is hosting its 4th Annual Art-O-Rama event. The event is free and open to all! Enjoy interactive art installations, live performances by local artists, family-friendly activities, and more! You will also have the opportunity to win prizes and connect with your local community.
